Home Charging

More battery electric vehicles were sold in March 2022 than in the entirety of 2019 in the UK. The UK Government’s ban on new petrol and diesel cars, which was originally planned for 2040, has been brought forward to 2030 as part of the plan to eradicate the country’s contribution to climate change. Unsurprisingly, demand for home charging options has been increasing rapidly.

Plugyy works with home owners to identify the best EV charging options and to deliver smart, reliable and affordable solutions to suit existing and future needs.

Electric vehicle uptake is rapidly increasing, with more battery electric vehicles sold in March 2022 than in the entirety of 2019 in the UK. Drivers now expect to have facilities for charging their EVs, whether parking at home or in open car parks. With the UK government now providing subsidies to encourage installations of changepoints, Plugyy supports building and car park owners to assess requirements, plan and implement smart, reliable and affordable charging solutions.

EV charging infrastructure in an apartment block parking space

The Velani Corporation is engaged in residential & commercial property management, development and investment and international investment in the healthcare and technology sectors. For one of its buildings in central London, the company required a complete end to end service for enabling EV charging options for the building’s residents and occupiers. The Plugyy team provided a turnkey solution, from initial advisory through to procurement, design & installation (EPC) of all associated electrical infrastructure & cabling for 24 EV charge points, that are being installed during 2022 as required. Plugyy now continues to support Velani Corporation as it assesses EV charging options across its portfolio.
