Commercial & Industrial

Low carbon heating systems using heat pumps or solar thermal water heating are increasing in popularity, as costs and efficiency of the technologies keep improving alongside large increases in gas prices, strong government incentives and regulatory requirements for low carbon heating. Large scale heat pumps are now also used in the energy centres of Heat Networks. Switching to Low carbon heating can save energy costs whilst reducing carbon footprint.

Plugyy’s experienced team together with our technology partners support your complete journey - from initial planning and feasibility, through procurement and implementation and then the operations, maintenance and monitoring of the systems.

New buildings, whether residential or commercial, must now adhere to strict energy and environmental standards. As part of the UK Government’s Future Homes Standard, new homes will only be able to install energy efficient heating systems and will produce 31% lower emissions compared to the current levels. Low carbon heating systems using heat pumps or solar thermal water heating are increasingly in demand, with strong government incentives and sharp increases in gas prices. Large scale heat pumps are now also used in the energy centres of Heat Networks. Plugyy works with Developers and construction firms to deliver renewable energy, low carbon heating solutions and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, for residential homes, commercial buildings and larger scale developments. Working nationally across the UK, our teams and partners work flexibly to support all phases of the development.

Heat Networks / Public Sector

With a legally binding net-zero target by 2050, the UK has shown strong leadership in the energy transition journey. The UK Government is strongly supporting and encouraging the private and public sectors toward shifting to low carbon heat. With significant funding now available from central government, local authorities are increasingly developing heat networks using heat pumps in their energy centres and progressing low carbon heating in social housing using heat pumps, in some cases complimented with renewable energy and storage. Contact us to see how Plugyy can support your journey to de-carbonisation of heat.

With fast increasing energy costs, switching from gas or oil based heating to low carbon electricity based heating solutions makes perfect financial sense. Heat pumps and solar thermal water heating are increasing in popularity, as costs and efficiency of the technologies keep improving alongside strong government incentives to encourage homes to make this switch. Switching to Low carbon heating can save energy costs whilst reducing carbon footprint.

Case Study

Design and installation of a new heatpump based heating system for a private estate

The Plugyy team was asked to design, supply and install an Air Source Heat Pump solution for a residential property in Derbyshire, which was reliant on oil for its heating energy supply. Two 7kW high efficacy Vaillant aroTHERM Air Source Heat Pumps were mounted at the rear of the building on purpose built concrete bases. As part of the service, the Plugyy team fully supported the client to ensure they receive the government grants that the works were eligible for - the Government’s Greener Homes Scheme grant and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
